With Halloween almost upon us this week’s From The Vault has a supernatural twist to it with IDW’s hardcover omnibus of ‘30 Days Of Night’. Originally a three issue story from Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, the story follows a group of survivors in a town in the north of Alaska. This area is so remote that in the winter the sun doesn’t rise for 30 days. So when a savage pack of vampires turn up and start feeding on the population the remaining survivors must find a way to defeat their undead foes without the aid of sunlight. Since the initial run of this story in 2002 the ‘30 Days’ universe has expanded to include several other stories and a successful film adaptation. This hardcover collection includes the original 30 days of night, Dark days and Return to Barrow, and is available in store or online for £18.99.
